About the Artist:
Ely Taylor is an artist based out of Chicago, IL, largely focused on creating landscape work depicting life after life and the end of the world. Through these imagined landscapes, Ely creates spaces which feel both foreign and familiar, posing questions about what comes after we pass, what we leave behind, and how they change over time. Ely’s work is highly process driven and meditative, with the act of creation serving as a means of grounding and grieving. Ely has exhibited her work in Chicago, New York City, Miami, and Champaign, and is a former Burren College of Art resident.
